As a result of the more than HUF 2 billion research and development investment, new E-number-free products will be launched on the market. Thanks to the development, a significant increase in export sales is expected, as well as the improvement of the quality and food safety of the relevant products.
The objective of the project is to develop an E-number-free
dairy product family, supported by product-specific protective cultures.
There is a growing interest for healthy food in Hungary and at the same more focus will be shifted to safe food production, consumer protection and environment protection. A growing number of customers can be seen in Hungary who take into account ecological aspects of purchases, and more and more consumers exercise voluntary restraint from excessive shopping to promote sustainable development.
The objective of the development is to use modern protective cultures and to develop the production technology to introduce an innovative and enjoyable product that lives up to the expectations of modern nutrition trends. The new product line will include E-number-free, extended best before date products of specialty cheese, whey protein concentrate powder, reduced protein content whey powder, buttercream and several different fermented products.
It is an important aspect of the planned development, and therefore it is constantly monitored, that the environmental impact should be reduced, which is partly due to dust emissions and electricity consumption, but especially to wastewater – thus the ultimate goal is reducing CO2 emissions.
The project will be realized within the frame of the Széchenyi 2020 program in three locations, at Sole-Mizo Zrt. facilities in Szeged, Bácsbokod and Csorna. Within the framework of the project, machines and equipment will be purchased to support the research and development process. External service providers will also assist our work with the necessary laboratory tests and technological consultancy services
Expected completion date of the development: November 24, 2018
Thanks to the investment, the company will create 10 R&D jobs.
